What is the Retail Ready Tour?

The Retail Ready Tour is a traveling retail experience created by Minority Retail that showcases minority-owned brands in professionally designed retail environments. Selected brands receive luxury merchandising, professional photography and video production, and exposure through the Minority Retail platform.

Do I have to be minority-owned?

The Retail Ready Tour is dedicated to showcasing minority-owned businesses as part of Minority Retail’s mission to increase visibility and access for underrepresented entrepreneurs.

Do I need to attend in person?

Attendance requirements vary by tour stop and participation package. While some experiences may include optional in-person opportunities, brands can participate remotely by shipping their products.

Who can apply?

We welcome minority-owned businesses with retail-ready products across a variety of categories, including apparel, beauty, home décor, jewelry, food and beverage, books, art, wellness, gifts, and more.

Do I have to be located in the tour city?

No. Brands from anywhere in the United States are encouraged to apply. If selected, you’ll ship or deliver your products according to the participation guidelines.

What are the participation fees?

Participation fees vary based on the package you choose. Current pricing is displayed on the Participation Options section of this page.

Is there a refund policy?

Participation fees are subject to the terms outlined in the participation agreement. Please review the agreement carefully before completing your registration.

How do I know if my application was received?

After submitting your application, you’ll receive a confirmation email. If selected, a member of our team will contact you with the next steps.

What happens after I apply?

If your application is selected, we’ll contact you to schedule a Brand Discovery Call. During onboarding, we’ll review your products, participation package, deadlines, and shipping instructions.

How are brands selected?

Applications are reviewed based on product quality, brand presentation, category availability, and overall fit for the Retail Ready Tour. Because space is limited, submitting an application does not guarantee selection.

What do I need to ship?

You’ll receive detailed shipping instructions after onboarding. Depending on your package, you may be asked to send product samples, branded packaging, marketing materials, and product information for display.

Will I receive photos and videos of my products?

Yes. Depending on your participation package, you’ll receive professional marketing assets that you can use on your website, social media, email campaigns, and other promotional materials.

Can customers purchase my products?

Yes. Featured products may be showcased through the Minority Retail Marketplace and other shopping experiences, allowing consumers to discover and purchase directly from participating brands.

What if I miss the application deadline?

If registration has closed for your preferred city, you’re welcome to apply for an upcoming tour stop or join the waitlist if one is available.

Can service-based businesses participate?

The Retail Ready Tour is designed primarily for retail product brands. However, service providers may have opportunities through sponsorships, partnerships, vendor activations, or advertising opportunities.

How do I get started?

Simply select your preferred tour stop, complete the application, and we’ll review your submission. If selected, we’ll guide you through the onboarding process and prepare your brand for the Retail Ready Tour.
